AU User Controls, Settings and Operation
f.
If the current visibility settings do not allow the projected intersections to be
viewed use the
Visibility tab
to adjust the visibility settings
a) Perform the
AGC calibrate
routine until acceptable test scores are
obtained. If necessary, some of the visibility parameters may be
manually adjusted, or the complexity level of the AGC operation may be
elevated until AGC completes successfully. All scores from a test must
be above 50% to achieve a successful completion.
NOTE:
(s/w 2.0.20060721):
After exiting the
Screen Geometry Maintenance Window
,
it may be necessary to enter the
Automated Setup Dialog
and manually
change the setup flag for
Initial TP Setup > Screen
to indicate a
completed operation (green color).
3.
Calibration Operation
1) Set the IG to the Convergence test pattern and run Convergence Calibration from the
Automated Setup Window.
a. Alternatively, calibration can be run from the main window. Select
Setup >
Calibration > Convergence
.
Convergence Calibration
can be performed
safely on at most three projectors at a time.
2) Based on program feedback, revisit the test point settings of each test point that requires
further maintenance. AU program feedback indicates the type of maintenance required
and the specific test point that requires the additional maintenance (consult the FMEA
worksheet).
a. From within the
Convergence Maintenance Window
, use the
Basic Motor Tab
to
adjust test point location, and the
Visibility Tab
to adjust visibility settings, and
scale factors as necessary to calibrate each individual test point (as indicated by
program feedback).
a) If the test point had an error during the calibration routine, the error flag
(located in the upper left hand corner of the Maintenance Window) will be
red. Pressing this button will indicate what type of error was
encountered:
•
InitialTP: The automated Initial TP Convergence process was
unable to identify the optimum position for the test point. It may
be necessary to change the field of view (motor coordinates) for
the test point.
•
Visibility: The AGC calibration performed during the automated
Convergence Calibration routine did not return successfully.
Escalate the Complexity Level of the AGC routine, and re-run the
AGC calibration until success is indicated (all scores above
50%).
•
Scaling: The Scale Factor calibration performed during the
automated Convergence Calibration routine did not return
successfully. Rerun the Scale Factor calibration. Repeated
failure may indicate that no convergence is visible at the current
location moving the point or marking the point “Unused” may be
required to resolve the error.
NOTE:
It is not necessary to rerun the automated
Convergence Calibration
if all
convergence test points are manually adjusted via the Maintenance
Dialog.
3) Set the IG to the Geometry test pattern and run
Center Geometry Calibration
and
Screen Geometry
Calibration
from the
Automated Setup Window
.
a. Alternatively, calibration can be run from the main window. Select
Setup >
Calibration > All Geometries
.
b.
Geometry Calibration
can be performed safely on all projectors in the system
simultaneously.
