Move the field of view to the center of the facet.
i. From the zone dropdown selector, select the “Center”
zone.
ii. Double click on the image to move the camera’s field of
view until the rectangular cursor is centered in the
image.
iii. The routine that memorizes the test patterns needs to
see the centered intersection, plus one grid above,
below, left and right of the center intersection. If the
camera’s field of view has glare in the image or these
central grid lines are otherwise obstructed, move the
field of view.
•
Press the “AGC” button to bring up the “Auto Gain Control”
dialog. Press the “Auto Correct” button to perform AGC
correction on the current location. If necessary elevate the
complexity level or otherwise adjust the AGC parameters until a
successful “Auto Correct” is achieved.
•
Press the “Memorize Pattern” button and follow the on-screen
prompts to memorize the test pattern(s) being used.
i. ACON Ultra typically utilizes separate coarse and dense
patterns to optimize the corrections. If a single pattern is
being used, the pattern must be presented when
prompted for a specific test pattern.
4) For each projector in the system, run the Initial TP Setup: Convergence routine. If a
similar configuration file is being used that already has performed the setup process to
this point, this step may be skipped.
NOTE:
If using a test point set that was previously established on this projector,
it is suggested that you NOT perform the
InitialTP Setup:
Convergence
process. Instead, manually change the
InitialTP
Setup: Convergence
flag to indicate complete (green color) and
move to step 2.5.
a. From the Automated Setup Dialog, press the “InitialTP” button.
b. When prompted, click on the presented options until only the “Convergence”
option is selected. Press the “Continue” button
c. Choose the projectors on which to run the operation and press the “Continue”
button.
5) Enter the Convergence Maintenance Window and adjust each error test point to center
the intersection of maximum convergence. If any test points were not correctly set during
the automated routine, the title bar of the window will list Initial TP Setup as “Incomplete”
or “Error” (These messages will not be valid if a similar configuration file has been copied
and step 2.d. has been skipped). Adjust the location of any error test points until the
Initial TP Setup is complete (as reflected in the title bar).
a. Select Show Misconvergence
b. Use the Basic Motor tab to position the intersection which displays the most
misconvergence at the center of the displayed image. Press the Apply button
when complete.
a) Alternately, double-click on the intersection in the Picture window to
center the clicked location in the AU camera field of view. The Apply
button still must be pressed to accept changes made in this fashion.
c.
Use the Visibility tab to adjust the visibility settings. The calibration routine will
fine tune the Visibility (or AGC calibration) for all test points in the set, so this
step may be skipped if desired.
a) For the first test point, perform the AGC calibrate routine until acceptable
