The ability to share data and applications is an important feature of enterprise
conferencing. For example, you and the other parties can exchange files, view a
business presentation together, or analyze the execution of another application.
To share data and applications, a personal computer must be connected to the same
network as the HD3000.
This chapter explains how to set up your HD3000 for data sharing, to open a data
connection, and start the data stream.

The HD Data Utility may be installed and operated on any computer that meets the
following minimum requirements:

Installing the HD Data Utility
The HD Data Utility enables you to share data applications with the other contacts
in your conferences.

To install the HD Data Utility
1. Go to the Downloads page of the VCON website (
2. Find and click the
HD3000 Data Utility
link. The Download window
opens in your browser.
3. Downloading from the VCON site requires registration.
If you’ve downloaded items from the site before, enter your e-mail
address and password. If you forgot your password, click the Password
Reminder link to request that VCON send it to your e-mail address.
