10.1 Remote Dial and Hangup
Call Dialing
Through the HD3000 web page, you can initiate and hang up videoconferences for
the HD3000 from a remote location. Conferences may begin by dialing manually or
by selecting a contact from the Phone Book.

To start a videoconference by dialing manually
1. On the left side of the HD3000 web page, click
Manual Dial
.
2. In the Manual Dial dialog box, type the receiving contact’s IP address,
MXM user number, or DNS name.
3. Choose the maximum bandwidth that you want this call to use.

Dial
.

To start a videoconference from the Phone Book
1. On the left side of the HD3000 web page, click
Phone Book Dialing
.
2. In the receiving contact’s entry line, click the Dial icon.
Select the maximum
bandwidth for the call.
Enter an IP address, DNS
name, or User Number.
Click
Dial
.
Click the entry’s
Dial icon to dial.
