on
Pict.1
and put them on the frame as per
Pict.10
> 1
(choose one of three openings in
the handlebars and one of two openings in the frame to set the handlebars height). Install the handlebar bolt as per
Pict.10
> 1
, place the flat washer and tighten the handlebars well using the wing nut.
The cables from the control levers must not
be crossed – their lifetime would be shortened!
Take the draw bands out of the bag and fix the cables to the handlebars
where the bending of the handlebars tube ends. Two pieces of the draw bands sufficient for cable fixing; cut the free ends of the
draw bands.
4.
As per
Pict.10
> 2
- prepare a bolted joint
B
in the opening in the right rear part of the frame, don't tighten it. Put the right
(bigger) part of the cover
2
between the lower plastic cover of the disc and the machine frame
as per
> 2
; the bolts
C
and
B
in the frame must fit in the grooves in the cover. Tighten the bolted joint
B
by hand. Don't tighten the jointed bolt
C
for now. Fix the right part of the cover using the bolted joint
B
as per
> 3
and tighten it by hand.
5.
As per
Pict.10
> 4
- prepare a bolted joint
B
(marked with an arrow) in the left rear part of the frame and put the left cover
3
on the machine frame toward the rear. Fasten the cover
3
to the frame using the other bolted joint
B
. Tighten both bolts by
hand. Connect both halves of the cover in the front part as per
> 5
using the bolted joint
D
. Tighten the bolted joint
D
.
6.
Next steps differ based on the type of the handle.
a)
Metal handle:
As per
Pict.10
> 6
- put the handle holder
4
on the left cover bracing and fasten it using two bolted
joints
D
. Jam the rubber handgrip
5
on the fastened holder.
b)
Strap:
As per
Pict.10
> 9
- fasten the strap
8
with a bolt from the left side to the left cover using the bolted joint
F
.
Place the nut with the washer from the right side on the opposite side of the cover than the strap. Tighten the bolted
joint
F
, so that it is possible to move the strap freely.
7.
Tighten all the bolted joints
B
,
C
and
D
from steps
> 2
,
> 3
,
> 4
,
> 5
and
> 6
! Particularly check the tightening of the
bolted joints marked as per
> 8
.
8.
As per
Pict.10
>7
- put the rear (shorter) side screen
7
on the shorter part of the screen holder and the side (longer)
screen
6
on the longer part of the screen holder. Pass the draw bands
E
through the openings in the screen holder and secure
both screens
6
and
7
against sliding by pulling the draw bands. Cut the free ends of the draw bands. Put the shorter part of
the screen holder into the opening in the frame. Tighten the fixing bolt
9
as per
Pict.2
and check that the side screen can't fall
out spontaneously.
3.4.2 P
UTTING
INTO
OPERATION
First read the engine user manual
carefully! This way, you may avoid possible damage.
The cutter may be delivered without the engine operating fluids
(according to various national rules)!
3.4.2.1 S
TARTING
UP
THE
ENGINE
Check the engine oil level; fill the engine with prescribed type and amount of oil if necessary. Fill the tank with
prescribed amount and type of petrol.
Cold (first) engine start differs as per engine manufacturer. The engines equipped with a mechanical choke (
Honda
and
Zongshen
)
require, similar as older cars, starting by means of a choke which is switched on by the accelerator lever
Pict.8
. The automatic choke of the
Briggs & Stratton
engines is activated based on the engine temperature and does not require any interference by the operator.
We distinguish starting according to the way the engine starts spinning:
manual
– By pulling the manual starter cord.
elektric (accumulator)
- By pressing the button on the start panel.
When starting the engine, both control levers
16
and
17
on
Pict.2 must be in the position turned off (they must
not be pushed to the handlebars)!
Some engines may have a fuel valve installed on the fuel supply to the carburetor! Be sure to open the fuel
supply.
The following chapters describe the individual differences in starting. The accelerator lever positions (
1
=
STOP
,
2
=
MIN
,
3
=
MAX
and
4
=
CHOKE
) are described in
Pict.8
. All four described main positions are locked by a simple stamp-projection system in the lever
body. The functions of the buttons on the switch (
STOP
,
1
and
START
) are described in
Pict.9
3.4.2.1.1 E
LECTRIC
STARTER
ENGINE
A modern and at the same time the easiest way to start the engine. The battery also serves as a key to the machine and is therefore
also a safety device against accidental starting of the engine.
The engine cannot be started without the battery correctly inserted in the battery holder at the top of the
engine.
The engine cannot be started with a discharged
The engine has a fixed speed and not idle speed.
Before each engine start, check the connector connections and the condition of the wire bundle that leads from
the starter panel to the engine.
1.
Pict.9
- On the start panel, press the middle button marked
1
.
85
Multilingual manual is part of the cutter.
86
Charging the battery is described in the engine operating instructions.
