ESCRIPTION OF THE MACHINE AND ITS PARTS
Drum mower Agatha ( Pict.2 ) is built on a steel frame, to which all important parts of the machine are attached. All controls
16 , 17 and 10A/B are placed on the handlebars. Handlebars are attached to the frame with a bolted connection 7 and their height
is adjustable into 6 positions. Handles 11 secure a firm grip and machine handling during work. On the left side of the handlebars, there
is the wheel drive clutch lever 17 which controls the movement of the machine in forward direction. On the right side, there is lever
17 of the disc drive clutch for turning the cutting disk drive on (off). Both control levers return to their original position when the
handlebars are released in a critical situation and disconnect the engine power transfer. The cutting disk is equipped with an automatic
brake

which stops the disk. Engine speed is controlled with an accelerator lever 10A or, if the engine is equipped with an electric
starter, with a switch on the starting panel 10B . The engine is started either by hand (by pulling a rope on the fan flywheel) or electric
( DS-521BiS only) with a starter and a battery 8 . The wheel drive is controlled by worm-gear unit with a belt clutch which provides fluent
power transfer onto the wheels 15 (the machine does not start with a jump). The gearbox and clutch are covered by a plastic gearbox
cover 14 . There is the cutting disk 4 with four steel blades 5 in the front part. The attendant is protected against flying parts of the
cut stand by cover 1 . A detachable side screen 3 , which is attached with a bolted connection 9 , controls the line spacing.

SSEMBLING THE MACHINE

As part of the pre-sale servicing, ask your dealer to unwrap the machine and give you a brief training on how
to use it!
Places for holding the cutter while removing it from the box (see Pict.1 ): by the cutting disc in the front 1 , by the machine frame tube
in the back 2 .

SSEMBLING PROCEDURE
Use the following procedure for assembling the machine: (It is advised to assemble the machine with a second person’s assistance)
Instructions “on the right” and “on the left” are meant from the point of the operator.
1. As per
Pict.1
- take both parts of the disc cover 5 , the bag with small parts 6 , side screen and rear screen 7 , screen
holder 9 out of the carton box; for DS-521BiS only: take out the battery 4 with the charger 8 as well. Remove the carton
insert which is placed between the handlebars and the engine in the box.
