Instructions for how to set the specimen to the grips

Caution
･ The film thickness that can be clamped by
the grips is from 0.03 to 0.2mm.

When clamping the hard material that has
the multiple layers including PET, the clamp
power may decline.
※
When clamping the sterilized paper that is
thicker than 0.1mm, it may tear with the
grip’s jagged part. Adjust the position that
the lever is pushed down.
･ When testing the sealed film, be sure that
the sealing surface comes in the middle of
the grips.
･ The sealed area of specimen must be
equidistant between the thin-film grips.
･ When setting the specimen to the grips,
make sure to allow sufficient slack so the
seal is not stressed before starting the
peel test.
･
Insert the specimen so it stays within the
width of grip. Inserting it slantwise or not
inserted correctly will negatively affect the
test result.
