MCP-8I Quick Start Guide
For Systems with 1 Sensor Channel, the Learn Button will Disappear all together.
For Systems with multiple Sensor Channels, the Learn Button might still appear, and a Learn
may need to be performed for the other channels, but not for the channel configured for Auto
Learning.

Since the Glue Pattern can change based on the Product’s Length, a
Learn
’
MUST
be
performed for each job. After the ‘
Learn
’ Button is pressed, the “Standard/Learned” Pattern Data
is calculated using the measured product length and the Start & End Delay’s from the
corresponding Glue Channel (Sensor 1 to Valve 1, Sensor 2 to Valve 2, Etc.). The Inspection
Channel needs to know what to inspect against, and cannot know if the change in the product
length is due to a job change or an actual glue failure.
