Fig. 5.6 pushing in the valve pin
• Now, push in the valve pin at approx. 50 % of the
spring deflexion and hold onto this position for ap-
prox. 30 seconds. During this time, brine flows into the
two diverging hydraulic pipes
In order to overcome the spring pressure, a fixed object,
for example, a log of wood is helpful.
• Release the pin after about 30 seconds.
• Reattach the motor housing on the brine mixing valve.
• Reconnect the power cable that was disconnected be-
fore to the motor housing of the brine mixing valve.
a
Caution!
Risk of damage!
Do not adjust the brine mixing valve po-
sition manually via the motor head be-
cause after unscrewing and reinstalling
it, this does not reposition automatically
into the initial condition!
• Open the stop valve (see fig. 5.3, item.
57
), so that the
air between the stop valves (
61
) and (
62
) can be dis-
charged.
• Close the stop valve (
61
) and pressurise the brine cir-
cuit using the filling pump (
67
). Take care that the
pressure does not exceed 3 bar.
• Now, close the stop valve (
62
) as well.
• Switch off the filling pump (
67
) and remove the
charging and discharging hose of the brine circuit
• Open the expansion relief valve (
60
) to allow any pos-
sible overpressure to discharge. The brine expansion
tank (
59
) must be filled 2/3 with fluid. Make sure that
valve (
61
) is closed.
• Further ventilation takes place after the assembly of
the cladding sections and the start up of the heat
pump (see Chap. 7.4)
Possible residues of the brine fluid are preserved in a
suitable vessel (e.g. plastic canister for a later refilling
(and conveyed to the customer)
Check the filling level of the brine fluid
a
Caution!
Risk of damage!
The filling level is correct when the brine
expansion tank is 2/3 full. The installa-
tion can be damaged if the filling level is
too high.
• Top up the brine fluid when the filling level has fallen
so low that it is no longer visible in the expansion
tank.

Fig. 5.7 Fill level of the brine expansion tank
The filling level of the brine fluid can fall a little in the
first month following commissioning of the system; this
is quite normal. The filling level can also vary depending
on the temperature of the heat source, but under no cir-
cumstances should it fall so far that it is no longer visi-
ble in the expansion tank.

Filling the DHW ciruit
a
Caution!
Risk of damage!
Do not manually open the temperature
and pressure relief valve or expansion
relif valve for venting purposes (any for-
eign matter in the pipwork may cause
damage to the valve seats).
• Ensure that the drain valve is closed.
• Open all hot and cold water taps.
• Open the mains water supply and continue filling until
water runs freely out from the taps.
• Close the hot and cold water taps and check for any
leaks.
• Open the hot water taps at the opposite ends of the
system and allow water to discharge to drain for at
least 5 minutes
