Source NDP Cleaning

Follow these steps to clean the Source NDP weekly:

1. Remove all five Source NDP covers as described in Section 5. Also

remove the removable track wall as described in Section 5.

2. Blow dust and paper fragments along the entire track using the

microduster in the following areas:

•

Feeder pocket, nudge and feed rollers, separator, and reflective sensor.

•

Both sides of the tower (blowing dust from one side of the tower is
shown in Figure 4-3). This is important for removing dust from
otherwise inaccessible rollers.

•

Areas exposed by the removed track wall.

•

Pocket areas.

•

Ridges on the inner side of the removable track wall.

3. Wipe the surface of the image glass (item 4 in Figure 4-1) with an Image

Glass Cleaning Pad presaturated with isopropyl alcohol. Refer to Figure
4-4.
