S e r i a l C o m m a n d s
This section is for advanced users that need to communicate with the
Model 3090 for advanced calibration, troubleshooting or diagnostics. Due
to the high data rate required, the actual particle count data from the
instrument is sent as binary data, so it is not possible to use text-based
serial commands to retrieve size distribution data from the instrument.
C a u t i o n
This section is written for technicians. Accessing or changing settings
using serial commands can invalidate the calibration or possibly cause
damage to the instrument.
P i n C o n n e c t o r s
The Model 3090 has a single 9-pin, D-subminiature connector port on the
back panel. The communication port is configured at the factory to work
with RS-232 type devices.
