16. Although the inner column should not be dirty since the electric field
repels all particles, the inner center column can now be cleaned using a
soft, dry, lint-free cloth (Figure 6-21). Wipe the column using a clockwise
motion, not up and down. If the accumulated particles cannot be
removed with the cloth, try using a cloth dampened with acetone.
Note:
Do
not
immerse the column in any solvent.
