9.4 IN EDID TAB
The In Edid menu is composed of 2 sections:
• The audio input section
• The video input section

The audio input section is describing the “short audio descriptors,”, a small set of data describing to the source what are the
audio formats supported by the Altitude

. You will find format name, the number of channels supported, sampling rates,
and a misc field whose value is vendor-specific and depends on the option you may have chosen (for example, if your unit is
equipped with 3D decoders the DTS_HD misc section will report it).
NOTE: Dolby TrueHD is reported as “MLP”, DTSHD is used for both DTS-HD HR and DTS-HD MA. If the short audio
descriptors reported in this section are just basic audio with 2 channel PCM at 48kHz then a problem may have
occurred during the board’s EDID setup.
The video input section basically only reports if something has been overridden compared to the EDID built
automatically by the HDMI board from the EDID received from its outputs. Thus and as we don’t process video, the
EDID is mostly a copy of the display’s one (that you can read on the Out EDID Tab, see below).
