IP Camera Connection
Users are able to connect an IP camera either through network connection or
via PnP function. Note that PnP function is only for models with PoE ports.
The following describes how to connect an IP camera via network connection
or via PnP function
Add IP Cameras via PnP Function (Models with PoE Ports Only)
When users connect the IP cameras to the PoE ports on the NVR
’
s rear
panel, the IP camera will automatically be powered up and connected to the
network. The NVR will automatically assign an IP address for the IP camera.
The following describes the rules of the IP address of the IP camera.
192.168.
(50+Port Number)
.
(25~99)
For instance, the IP address of PoE port 8 would be like
“
192.168.58.33
”
.
The fourth set of the IP address is limited within a specified range, from 25 to
99. When an IP camera is connected to the PoE port, the NVR will
automatically assign the fourth set a random number within the limited range.
If users wish to access the IP camera connected to the PoE port via a web
browser, just enter the IP address of the NVR plus a colon and a number
(8000 + port number of the desired IP camera). Take CH4 for example, if the
IP address of the NVR is 192.168.0.50, the IP address of CH4 will be
192.168.0.50
:8004
.
NOTE:
Users
MUST
make sure that DHCP function of the IP cameras
to be connected to the PoE port is disabled; otherwise, the IP camera
connection will be failed.
