Optional Memory Module
Removing an Optional Memory Module
To remove an optional memory module, make sure the computer is in boot mode, then follow
the steps below and refer to Figures 4-2 and 4-3.
1.
Turn off the power to the computer, then disconnect the AC adapter and all
external cables connected to the computer.
2.
Remove the battery pack as described in Section 4.2.
3.
Remove
two M2x3 silver screws
securing the
memory slot cover
and lift off the
cover.

Remove
two M2x10 screws
securing the memory module to a brace at the center
of the module.
5.
Grasp the memory card on the right edge toward the connector, or if a plastic tab
is present, lift up on the plastic tab to disengage the connectors, then grasp the
module by the edges and remove it.
