Diagnostic Test Program Execution Check
Insert the Diagnostics disk in the computer’s floppy disk drive, turn on the computer, and run
the test. Refer to Chapter 3,
Tests and Diagnostics
, for more information about diagnostic
test procedures.
Floppy disk drive test error codes and their status names are listed in table 2-5. Make sure the
floppy disk in the FDD is formatted correctly and that the write-protect tab is disabled. If any
other errors occur while executing the FDD diagnostics test, go to Check 1.
