700 Series
To check the power supply status, install a battery pack and connect an AC adapter.
Check 1
If the DC IN icon flashes yellow, go to Procedure 2.
Check 2
If the DC IN icon lights green, the power supply is normal. If not, go to Procedure
3.
Check 3
If the Battery icon lights yellow, the power supply is normal. If not, go to Proce-
dure 4.
Procedure 2
Error Code Check
If the microprocessor detects a malfunction, the DC IN icon blinks yellow. The blink pattern
indicates an error as shown below.

On for one second
“0”
On for a half second
Interval between data bits
Off for a half second
An error code begins with the least significant digit.
Example: Error code A1h (Error codes are given in hexadecimal format.)

Convert the DC IN icon blink pattern into the hexadecimal error code and
compare it to the tables below.

Meaning
01h
AC Adapter output is over the maximum allowed limit.
02h
Desk Station V output is over the maximum allowed limit.
04h
Current from the DC power supply is over the maximum allowed limit.
05h
Current from the DC power supply is over the maximum allowed limit
when there is no load.
