Installing the Battery Pack

To install the battery pack, follow the steps below and refer to Figure 4-1.

WARNING:

The battery is a lithium ion battery which can explode if it is not properly

replaced, used, handled or disposed of. Use only batteries recommended by Toshiba as
replacements.

Turn off the power to the computer, then disconnect the AC adapter and all
external cables connected to the computer.

Place the battery cover on the battery, then slide the cover to the side to secure the
latches.

Fit the

battery

onto the guide rails.

Slide the battery into place, then push the cover to the left to secure it.
