Procedure 3
Connector Check
The HDD wiring diagram is shown below.
The HDD is stored inside the HDD pack. The HDD pack connector is connected between the
HDD and the lower system board. This connector may be disconnected from the lower
system board or the HDD. Disassemble the T4900CT following the steps described in chapter
4,
Replacement Procedures
, and perform the following checks:
Check 1
Make sure the HDD pack connector is firmly connected to the lower system
board. Remove the HDD pack, and reinstall it. If the HDD is still not functioning
properly, perform Check 2.
Check 2
Disassemble the HDD pack. Make sure the HDD pack connector is firmly con-
nected to the HDD. If it is disconnected, connect it to the HDD. If the HDD is
still not functioning properly, perform Check 3.
Check 3
Make sure the two joint connectors (PJ301 and PJ302) are firmly connected to the
upper system board. If these joint connectors are disconnected, connect them to
the upper system board. If the HDD is still not functioning properly, perform
Procedure 4.
