Installing the Display Assembly
To install the T4900CT’s display assembly, follow the steps below and refer to figures 4-21
through 4-24.
1.
Place the
display
assembly
on the computer, making sure the brackets on the
display fit in front of the corresponding brackets on the computer.
2.
Hold the display to steady it and fasten the
three M2.5x6 screws
for the
display
hinges
to secure the display assembly (figure 4-24). Secure the screw for the
display hinge brace at the right side of the computer first, then secure the screws at
the corners.
3.
Turn the computer around and secure the
two M2.5x6 silver screws
on the back
(figure 4-23).
4.
Turn the computer again so the front faces you and connect the
panel close
switch cable
to
PJ6
on the upper system board, then secure it with
tape
(figure 4-
21).
5.
Connect the
display cable
to
PJ3
and the
FL cable
to
PJ2
on the upper system
board (figure 4-22).
6.
Secure the
ground cable
with one
M2.5x6 screw
to the upper system board
(figure 4-22).
7.
Install the top cover, HDD pack, optional PCMCIA card, optional memory card,
and battery pack as described in sections 4.6 back through 4.2.
