Modem
Removing the MDC Modem
The following describes the procedure for removing an MDC modem (See Figure 4-9).
CAUTION
: The power must be turned off when you remove the MDC modem. Removing
an MDC modem with the power on risks damaging the modem or the computer itself.
1. Turn the computer upside down.
2. Remove the screw fixing the MDC slot cover and remove the cover. (This screw is
fixed to the MDC slot cover and can not be removed.)
3. Remove the following screws fixing the MDC modem.

4. Lift up the MDC modem and remove the MDC modem from the connector PJ3000 on
the system board.
5. Remove the MDC jack cable from JP1 on the MDC modem.
