Checking the Engine Oil
Service Interval:
Before each use or daily Check the
engine oil level before you start the
engine for the first time.
Note:
The best time to check the engine oil is when
the engine is cool, before it has been started for the
day. If the engine was operated, allow the oil to drain
back down to the sump for at least 10 minutes before
checking.
The engine is shipped with oil in the crankcase;
however, the level of oil must be checked before you
first start the engine and after you have run it.
1.
Position the machine on a level surface.
2.
Remove the dipstick, located under the
passenger seat, and wipe it with a clean rag
(
).
Note:
Insert the dipstick into the tube and make
sure it is seated fully. Remove the dipstick and
check the oil level.
