2. Remove the jam nut and use a ball joint “pickle” fork to separate the ball
joint from the roller support.
3. Remove the rubber pads to the roller support if necessary.
4. Repair or replace the steering head assembly components as necessary.

1. Secure the 4 rubber pads to the roller support.
2. Secure the ball joint to the roller support and tighten the jam nut from
108
to 122 N·m (80 to 90 ft-lb)
.
3. Place the roller support with ball joint into the steering head frame and install
the retaining ring.
