9) Ignition Timing Adjustment
1. Rotate the throttle grip fully toward the FAST side until the
grip stops.
2. Adjust using the link rod

so that the timing mark

25°of the magneto coil plate and the ignition timing
inspection line (crank case mating surface)

coincide.
3. Adjust the stopper bolt

so that the advancer arm

touched the stopper bolt.
4. Rotate the throttle grip fully toward the SLOW side until
the grip stops.
5. Adjust the stopper bolt

at the position where the timing
mark

3°ATDC of the magneto coil plate and the ignition
timing inspection line

coincide.
Ignition Timing-Full Throttle : BTDC 25°
Adjust the advancer arm link rod

as shown in
the figure when you adjust the ignition timing.
8) Inspection of Thermostat
Refer to Chapter 5.
Ignition Timing-Throttle closed : ATDC 3°
