Symptom
IP address changes when
power is turned off and on
again.
Cannot display video
images received from a
device connected via a
router.
Cannot transmit JPEG
images to an FTP server.
Video quality impaired.
Videos are displayed in
black and white.
Video update intervals
unusually slow.
Camera setting screen not
displayed.
Cannot send alarm email.
Remedy
Check the DHCP settings. When a DHCP server exists in the network, if
DHCP has been set to ON, the IP address is automatically reassigned each
time the device is activated. To lock the address, set DHCP to OFF.
Check to confirm that the appropriate IP address is set for the router
gateway. For details, contact the local network administrator.
Check to confirm that the FTP server is in operation.
Check to confirm that the FTP account is valid. Also check to confirm that
the FTP site has authorized writing.
Check the FTP server address, login name, password and path for correct
setting.
Check to assure that the camera is properly adjusted.
Check to confirm that the maximum transmission rate is set to the next band
below that of the network.
Check to confirm that the color/B&W setting is set to Color. If this setting is
changed, the changed setting only becomes valid after the reactivation of
the device.
Check to confirm that the live video image compression format is set to
H.261 or H.263. Note that update intervals for MJPEG images are slower
compared to H.261 or H.263-compressed images, regardless of network
conditions.
Check to ensure that the maximum transmission rate is set to a high value.
If multiple receivers are connected, check the reception rates of all
receivers. The transmitter uses the lowest rate to transmit.
Check to confirm that "Yes" has been clicked in the security warning dialog
box displayed when the camera setting screen is opened. The camera
setting screen does not appear if "No" has been clicked.
Check to confirm that the SMTP server and transmission destination email
address are correctly set. Enter the IP address in the SMTP server. Domain
name addresses cannot be used for the SMTP server.
Check to confirm that the mail server (SMTP server) is active.
Check to confirm that the mail account is valid.
