CHAPTER 4. JetManager

4.1. IMPORTANT INFORMATION

4.1.1. File Backup 

Be sure to back up all created JetManager system setting files or configuration files to external memory
media. Backing up files eliminates the necessity of manually re-inputting all settings from the beginning if a PC
should crash. It is recommended that the Windows backup program be used.

Important
Be sure to exit JetManager before creating backup or reading files. 

4.1.2. About the Video Networking Device

Please read the instruction manual of each connected device before executing the JetManager program.
These manuals contain important information necessary for correctly assembling a network, such as device
settings and IP address assignment. 

4.2. FOREWORD

4.2.1. What is JetManager?

JetManager is the software used to administrate video networking devices on a local area network. It displays
information regarding the video networking devices connected to the network on a PC in an easily understood
format.

The main JetManager features are shown below.
• Scans and displays the video networking devices connected to the network. 
• Auto-scan function automatically scans and displays all devices connected to the network at set time

intervals. 

• Automatically updates information on the video networking devices recognized on the network at set time

intervals. 

• Unique IP addresses can be automatically assigned.
• A configuration file can be simultaneously uploaded to multiple video networking devices. 
• The range of IP addresses to be used by the network can be defined. 
• Standard Windows onscreen interface ensures quick and easy operation .

This software is designed to operate with Windows, permitting setting and control of all video networking
devices on the network.
