CHAPTER 3. Performing Settings with Internet Explorer
Backlight Compensation
Use this function when flicker occurs in wide dynamic mode. Backlight compensation cannot be used when
the wide dynamic function is in use. This option can be set to "OFF," "Pattern 1," "Pattern 2," and "Pattern 3."
Pattern 1: Whole screen
Pattern 2: 3/4 the screen (lower 3/4 screen)
Pattern 3: 1/2 the screen (lower half screen)
When any of these three patterns is selected, the "Backlight Compensation Area Setting" screen is displayed
for each pattern.
Designate screen areas of the size set by each pattern to be detected for backlight . The backlight
compensation setting screen is split into 12 segments as shown in the figure, and "Valid" or "Invalid" can be
set for each split segment.
1. Click the segments to be ignored by backlight detection. The selected segments are masked as "Invalid"
areas.
2. Click the "Clear All" button when wishing to deactivate the masked segments. Selected segments are reset.
3. Click the "Set" button after setting completion to transmit the settings to the camera.
4. Click the "X" icon in the window to close the setting screen.
Note: Images displayed on the "Backlight Compensation Area Setting" screen are not automatically updated.
To update the images, click the "Update image" button.
