To clean or replace an ESI capillary
1. Remove the ESI probe from the probe heater as described in

2. Remove the ESI capillary from the probe as described in
.
3. If the capillary is reusable, clean its surface with [50:50] methanol / water.
4. Reinstall the clean capillary or a new capillary as described in
ESI capillary

Because the ESI capillary is fragile and can be damaged easily, exercise care
when handling it.
