Install a USB Wireless Adapter

You can connect your Nicolet Summit OA spectrometer to a wireless network using the optional USB
wireless adapter. If you purchased the adapter with your spectrometer, it comes preinstalled.

To install the USB wireless adapter, insert the adapter into any USB port. For a more permanent
installation, install the adapter in a port under the instrument cover.

To install a USB wireless adapter

1. Insert the adapter into any available USB port.

2. The system will recognize the adapter automatically. For information on connecting to a network

using your adapter, see support from Microsoft.

❖

To install using a USB port under the instrument cover

This installation requires you to remove the crystal plate and instrument cover.

1. Follow the instructions in

"Replace the Cover"

to remove the crystal plate and instrument cover.

2. With the cover removed, insert the adapter in either available USB ports.
