Table 6 lists the firmware for the Surveyor Plus LC devices supported by the Xcalibur 2.0.5 or
higher data system. LC Devices contains the instrument control software for these devices.
For information on making contact closure between the modules of the LC system, refer to
the
Surveyor Plus Getting Connected Guide.
Y To connect an LTQ Series MS detector to a Surveyor Plus LC system with the
7-connector LC/MS interconnect cable
1. Connect the 8-pin connector (with hood and labeled MS/LC) end of the LTQ/LXQ
interconnect adapter cable to the connector labeled M/S of the 7-connector LC/MS
interconnect cable.
Figure 21 shows the LTQ/LXQ interconnect adapter cable. Figure 23 shows the following
cables and their connections:
• The 7-connector LC/MS interconnect cable (P/N 60053-63034) and its connections
to the LC system modules, the LTQ/LXQ interconnect adapter cable, and the MS
pump adapter cable (for systems with a Surveyor MS Pump or Surveyor MS Pump
Plus.
• The LTQ/LXQ interconnect adapter cable (P/N 60053-63037) and its connections
to the 7-connector LC/MS interconnect cable and the LTQ Series MS detector.
• The MS pump adapter cable (P/N 60053-63038) and its connections to the
7-connector LC/MS interconnect cable and the Surveyor MS Pump or Surveyor MS
Pump Plus. The connector labeled PUMP of the 7-connector LC/MS interconnect
cable connects directly to a Surveyor LC Pump or Surveyor LC Pump Plus. To
connect the Surveyor MS Pump or Surveyor MS Pump Plus, you must use this
additional adapter cable.
2. Plug the 6-pin connector (labeled LTQ/LXQ) of the LTQ/LXQ adapter cable into the
START IN connection on the lower-right side of the LTQ Series MS detector, as shown
in
Figure 23 .
