NOTE:
The units can be locked individually in their
raised (transport) positions and can be used
independently.
WARNING:
To prevent damage to hydraulic
components the drive control levers (F, G and H fig.
47) should not be operated from forward to reverse
when the tractor engine speed is in excess of 1600
r.p.m.
GRASS CUTTING
Before cutting check items 1 to 4:-
1.
Ensure that all the control levers for the lift
valves are in the central (neutral) position
(C fig. 48), and that the drive control levers for
the units are in the central (neutral) position
(F fig. 48),
2.
Check P.T.O Selector is engaged.
To obtain live P.T.O (Engine Speed).
(a)
Ford Tractors:
To engage the P.T.O the selector knob should
be pulled fully out (fig. 49). To disengage the
P.T.O. drive the selector knob should be
pushed in.
(b)
Massey Ferguson Tractors:
To engage live P.T.O. (fig. 50) depress clutch
pedal fully, lift handle (B) and pull lever back
(engine speed P.T.O.).
To disengage the P.T.O. drive; Depress clutch
pedal fully, move the lever to the central
(neutral) position and release the handle (B).
