EFD-750 System Software Update File Upload
NOTE:
This procedure is only to be performed if the software values found in the EFD-750
System Software Verification do not match.
NOTE:
It is necessary to have a microSD card loaded with EFD-750 software release 1.2
(6308652-3) to do the EFD-750 System Software Update File Upload.
(1)
To load a microSD card with EFD-750 software release 1.2 (6308652-3), do as follows:
(a)
Put a blank microSD card in a microSD to SD card adapter.
(b)
Put the microSD to SD card adapter in an SD card reader that is connected to Windows
PC computer.
(c)
Use a web browser to go to TXTAVSupport.com.

Get the EFD-750 software release 1.2 (6308652-3) from the airplane model-specific
Maintenance Software section and follow the instructions to copy the files to the
microSD card.
(d)
Make sure that the microSD card contains the install.pkg and ac.bin files.
(2)
Make sure that the STBY DISPLAY switch is set to the OFF position.
(3)
Put the microSD card with the EFD-750 software release 1.2 (6308652-3) into the microSD card
slot in the face of the EFD-750 display.
(4)
Push and hold the knob on the EFD-750 display.
(5)
Set the STBY DISPLAY switch to the ON position.
(6)
When the normal display screen on the EFD-750 display is shown, release the knob.
(7)
Push the Menu button.
(8)
Turn the knob to highlight the System Install menu item.
(9)
Push the knob to select it.
(10) When the "Enter Maintenance Mode?" message is shown, push the knob again to confirm.
NOTE:
The EFD-750 display will reboot and enter Maintenance Mode.
(11) Turn the knob to highlight the Field Load menu item.
(12) Push the knob to select it.
NOTE:
The current software version from the config file on the micrSD card will show on
the screen.
(13) Push the knob to Confirm Load and Reset.
NOTE:
When the update is complete, the EFD-750 display will reboot and enter
Maintenance Mode.
(14) Turn the knob to highlight the System ID menu item.
(15) Push the knob to select it.
(16) On the System ID screen, make sure that the Version and the Aircraft values for the Aircraft
CONFIG File are as follows:
(a)
S/N: XXXX
(b)
TOT PWR ON TM: XXX.X HRS
(c)
SW P/N: 8010-15750-0102
(d)
SW VER: 0102
(e)
FW VER: 8000-15750-0102
(f)
BL VER: 8010-14010-0303
(g)
ACM S/N: XXXX
(17) Set the STBY DISPLAY switch to the OFF position.
(18) Remove the microSD card from the microSD card slot in the face of the EFD-750 display.
(a)
Keep the microSD card in a safe location for future use.
(19) Do the DCM-750 Configuration File Upload in this section.
