Record (placard) the date of the tests and the maximum altitude to which the primary systems were
tested on the pilot and copilot air data computers, Garmin GDC 7400.

Enter the same data on the reporting form and in the airplane logbook (records and entries in
accordance with Title 14, CFR 91.411) (Refer to Figure 602).

Pitot-Static Heater Test
WARNING: Heated pitot tubes can get very hot and can cause serious burns. Avoid
contact with fully heated pitot tubes. Make sure there is adequate
cooling time before handling.
CAUTION:
Do not leave pitot-static heaters on for more than 1 minute. This will help
prevent damage to aircraft and component.
CAUTION:
Make sure that all pitot covers, air data test equipment and vinyl tape are
removed.
A.
Do the pitot-static heaters test procedures.
(1)
If installed, remove the landing gear electrical test boxes from the airplane.
(a)
Connect electrical connector (PL003) to receptacle (JL003) and electrical connector
(PR003) to receptacle (JR003).
(2)
Make sure any pitot probe covers are removed.
(3)
On the right switch panel put the PITOT STATIC HEAT 1 and PITOT STATIC HEAT 2 switches
to the ON position.
(4)
Engage the L PITOT STATIC circuit breaker found on the left circuit breaker panel in the cockpit.
(5)
Carefully check the pitot probe and static ports at the locations that follow.
Use a digital
infrared thermometer or your hand to check for a noticeable rise in temperature over ambient
temperature:
•
Pilot - Lower left static port
•
Pilot - Upper right static port
•
Pilot - Left pitot probe.
(6)
Disengage the L PITOT STATIC circuit breaker.
(7)
Engage the R PITOT STATIC circuit breaker found on the left circuit breaker panel in the cockpit.
(8)
Carefully check the pitot probe and static ports at the locations that follow.
Use a digital
infrared thermometer or your hand to check for a noticeable rise in temperature over ambient
temperature:
•
Copilot - Upper left static port
•
Copilot - Lower right static port
•
Copilot - Forward right pitot probe.
(9)
Disengage the R PITOT STATIC circuit breaker.
(10) Engage the STBY PITOT STATIC circuit breaker found on the left circuit breaker panel in the
cockpit.
(11) Carefully check the pitot probe and static ports at the locations that follow.
Use a digital
infrared thermometer or your hand to check for a noticeable rise in temperature over ambient
temperature:
•
Standby - Middle left static port
•
Standby - Middle right static port
•
Standby - Aft right pitot probe.
(12) Disengage the STBY PITOT STATIC circuit breaker.
(13) On the right switch panel put the PITOT STATIC HEAT 1 and PITOT STATIC HEAT 2 switches
to the OFF position.
