Carefully check the pitot probe and static ports at the locations that follow.
Use a digital
infrared thermometer or your hand to check for a noticeable rise in temperature over ambient
temperature:
•
Copilot - Upper left static port
•
Copilot - Lower right static port
•
Copilot - Forward right pitot probe
•
Standby - Middle left static port
•
Standby - Middle right static port
•
Standby - Aft right pitot probe.

On the right switch panel put the PITOT STATIC HEAT 1 and PITOT STATIC HEAT 2 switches
to the OFF position.

Make sure that you let the pitot probes and static ports cool before you handle them.

On the ELECTRICAL POWER switch panel put the BATTERY switch to the OFF position.

If testing is complete configure the airplane to the pretest condition. Refer to Restore the
Airplane.

Restore the Airplane
A.
Restore the airplane.
(1)
Make sure that the standby altimeter barometric is set to 29.92 inHg (101.3 kPa).
(2)
Make sure that you remove air tight pressure tape (red) from the standby system static port(s).
(3)
Adjust the air data test set to bleed the pitot and static systems to ambient pressure at a rate not
to exceed 200 knots-per-minute (370 km/min) and 6000 feet-per-minute (1829 m/min).
(a)
Remove power from the air data test set and remove it from the airplane.
(4)
Set the BATTERY switch to the OFF position.
(5)
Remove external electrical power from the airplane.
(6)
Remove the landing gear electrical test boxes from the airplane.
(a)
Connect electrical connector (PL003) to receptacle (JL003) and electrical connector
(PR003) to receptacle (JR003).
