Solution:
Open the clamp by pressing the clamp status icon
and insert
the tube correctly
. Press ‘Recheck’ to check again whether the
tube is inserted correctly. Press ‘Continue’ in order to proceed
without rechecking.
8.2
System alarms
At following alarms, the antenna will flash red fast (medium priority alarm) when a donation
is in progress. Otherwise, the antenna will flash white (low priority alarm).
Low battery level
Indicated by:
Touch screen: message ‘LOW BATTERY’.
Cause:
If shown during donation:
The battery is almost empty. The clamp will close
automatically.
If shown when not in donation with high-energy battery:
The battery level is too low, no donations can be started.
If shown when not in donation with emergency battery:
T-RAC II Jr is not connected to the mains.
Solution:
Connect T-RAC II to the mains.
If a donation is ongoing and no mains power is available, finalize
the donation.
If no donation is ongoing, an empty high-energy battery can be
replaced by a charged one. Switch-off the device before
replacing the battery, unless it is connected to the mains.
Battery error
Indicated by:
Touch screen: message ‘BATTERY ERROR’.
Cause:
A problem with the battery has been detected.
Solution:
In case of high-energy battery:
Connect T-RAC II to the mains or replace the battery. Switch-
off the device before replacing the battery, unless it is
connected to the mains.
In case of emergency battery (only on T-RAC II Jr):
Contact your Terumo BCT distributor.
Agitator error
Indicated by:
Touch screen: message
‘AGITATOR ERROR’.
Cause:
T-RAC II detected an error when trying to swing the agitator.
The agitator may be blocked or the weight on the scale may be
too large.
Solution:
Check the agitator. If the problem persists without obvious
reason, contact your Terumo BCT distributor.
Scale error
Indicated by:
Touch screen: message ‘SCALE ERROR’.
Cause:
This error can be caused by several reasons:
•
It was not possible to tare the balance because its weight
was too high, too low, or not constant.
•
The scale is out of calibration.
•
The balance indicated a negative weight.
Solution:
Check the balance visually to see if there are no abnormalities.
If the problem persists without obvious reason, contact your
Terumo BCT distributor.
