T1 TESTS
The T1 line test modes include

PUSHBUTTON ACTION:
YES- Advances
to T1 LOCAL LOOPBACK? test mode
NO- Advances to DTE PORT TESTS? submenu
HOME- Returns to DIAGNOSTICS OPTIONS? menu
T1 Local Loopback
Figure 4-1 shows the unit in Local Loopback. This test loops the
network T1 transmitter output to the receiver input at the network inter-
face. Since the entire T1 data payload is looped back, the DTE port is
also looped back. This allows the local DTE to test the local unit. The
looped back T1 signal is also transmitted to the network to keep the
network active.
All TM LEDs light to indicate a T1 test in progress. Other LEDs func-
tion normally.
