TFS3031 TekRanger/TekRanger 2 Service Manual

New Optical Module Assembly in Upper Port Position

When replacing the optical module assembly located in the upper port position
with a new assembly, the bulkhead mounting tab on the new assembly must be
removed to allow mounting room.

If the bulkhead mounting tab is a part of the optical module assembly casting,
use pliers (or your fingers) to bend the bulkhead mounting tab back and forth to
break it off.

If the bulkhead mounting tab is attached to the optical module assembly with
two screws, remove the screws.

Remove this bulkhead

mounting tab.
