TDS1000B and TDS2000B Series Oscilloscopes – Operator Training Kit

Setting Up VERTICAL Controls

Before you use the VERTICAL controls, you must ensure
that the oscilloscope is set up for the VERTICAL controls.

To set up a TDS1000B/TDS2000B oscilloscope for
the VERTICAL controls, follow these steps:

1. Connect two P2220 probes to the

CH1

and

CH2

BNC

input connectors on the front panel. Connect the

CH1

and

CH2

probe tips to the

5V@1kHz

signal on the front

panel, and connect the

CH1

and

CH2

ground leads to

the ground reference pin directly below the

5V@1kHz

pin.

2. Push the appropriate side-screen menu button to select

DEFAULT

SETUP

3. On the top of the front panel, push the

AUTOSET

button.
