SUITABLE HARNESS
The BLUE is designed to be used with any licensed harness. However, note that highly stiffened
cross-strap-harnesses with very high suspension points may adversely affect the handling of the
BLUE and its behaviour during spiral dives (see chapter Fast descents!).
The BLUE is authorised for use with most modern paragliding harnesses. We recommend the use
of a harness with medium to low hang-points in order to make full use of weight shift when turning,
to which the BLUE is very responsive. For maximum passive safety, TEAM 5 recommends the use
of a harness with back-protection and an under-seat-mounted reserve container.
Please remember that the position of the suspension points of your harness can impact upon
adjustments of your brake line lengths and also of the speed system (see chapter possibilities for
adjustment)!
THE RESERVE PARACHUTE
Carrying a licensed safety chute is one aspect of the safe use of a glider, even when the risk of
equipment failure can be considered negligible. When choosing the appropriate rescue system
of the correct size, please apply the same care as you did when you selected your TEAM 5 pa-
raglider!
The ORANGE reserve system from TEAM 5 is a modern round canopy with a central line to elimi-
nate Oscillation and minimize opening time and sink rate.
THE TEAM 5 RUCKSACK
We have created a new generation of backpacks, incorporating many detail changes over previous
models. The TEAM 5 Rucksack is sufficiently large to accommodate the bulkiest modern equip-
ment – including the latest harnesses with large back protectors. Special geometry and weight dis-
tribution ensures outstanding comfort. The durable material and complex design combine to give
unusual longevity. The bag can be tightened using four lateral compression straps in order to take
up any slack when all the volume is not required. Note: Always remember to release compression
straps before the backpack is loaded! Apart from the enormous capacity of the main compartment,
the TEAM 5 comfort bag has another large container in the top flap, into which your helmet, flying
suit, gloves etc. can be stowed.
