Repair Instructions
ABS Control Unit Coupler Disconnect and
Connect (GSX1300BKAK8)

Disconnect
1) Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2) Remove the fuel tank. Refer to “Fuel Tank Removal
and Installation in Section 1G in related manual”.
3) Disconnect the ABS control unit coupler (1).
Connect
Connect the ABS control unit coupler in the reverse
order of disconnect.
Front Wheel Speed Sensor Removal and
Installation (GSX1300BKAK8)

CAUTION
!
• The ABS is made up of many precision
parts; never subject it to strong impacts or
allow it to become dirty or dusty.
• The wheel speed sensor cannot be
disassembled.
Removal
1) Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2) Lift and support the fuel tank with the prop stay.
Refer to “Fuel Tank Removal and Installation in
Section 1G in related manual”.
3) Remove the air cleaner box. Refer to “Air Cleaner
Box Removal and Installation in Section 1D in
related manual”.
4) Disconnect the front wheel speed sensor coupler (1).
5) Remove the front wheel speed sensor (2).
6) Remove the front wheel speed sensor lead wire as
shown in the front wheel speed sensor routing
diagram. Refer to “Front Wheel Speed Sensor
Routing Diagram (GSX1300BKAK8) in Section 4A
(Page 4A-3)”.
Installation
Install the front wheel speed sensor in the reverse order
of removal. Pay attention to the following points:
• Install the front wheel speed sensor lead wire as
shown in the front wheel speed sensor routing
diagram. Refer to “Front Wheel Speed Sensor
Routing Diagram (GSX1300BKAK8) in Section 4A
(Page 4A-3)”.
