SLED (SCSI LED) Indicator
The SLED connector is used to pro-
vide an LED indication of SCSI ac-
tivity. Refer to Table 2-21 for con-
necting the SCSI LED.

DIP Switch Settings
DIP Switch 1:
Core/Bus Ratio
Two DIP switches labeled SW1
a n d S W 2 a r e l o c a t e d o n t h e
S2QR6/S2QE6. Each has four in-
dividual switches. The four on Dip
Switch 1 are used to set the core/
bus ratio.
The example on the right will show
you which CPU Core/Bus Ratio to
use. The general rule is to divide
the CPU speed by the bus speed
(100 MHz only). If you have a 550
MHz CPU, dividing it by a 100 Mhz
front side bus will give you a CPU
Core/BUS Ratio of 5.5. After de-
termining the CPU Core/Bus Ratio,
refer to Table 2-22 for the correct
settings of DIP switch 1.
Note: Most Intel processors have a fixed Core/Bus
ratio that will overwrite the setting of DIP Switch 1.
DIP Switch 2
Only DIP switch 1 is functional at
this time. DIP switch 2 should be
left as set by the manufacturer.
