- Putting too much grease into the nipples using high pressure may damage the gaskets/seals. Perform
this operation with due care.
- Lubricate and grease each point requiring it.
- Paint dented areas with rust-preventing chemicals.
- When oil is either replaced or re
fi lled, use the same type as that recommended (see «5.6 Oil and lubri-
cant table»).
- Keep lubricants away from children.
- Read the warning and precaution decals on the lubricants containers very carefully.
- After working with lubricants, wash your hands with care. Dump waste oils according to anti-pollution
regulations.

Lubricating a machine with rotating parts and/or with parts subject to friction is a very sensitive operation
which has an impact on the life of the machine and its operating cycle. So, lubricate parts at regular inter-
vals and following the instructions provided.
The lubrication intervals recommended here depend on machine operation in normal working condi-
tions.
If the machine is used in tough conditions, these intervals must be shorter.
5.1.2 CLEANING THE MACHINE
WARNING
Do not use gasoline, solvents or other fl ammable fl uids
to clean machine parts. Use type-approved commercial
solvents which are not fl ammable and toxic.
Do not clean the machine with fl ammable fl uids. Do not clean
the machine or its components with fl ammable
fl uids. Do not clean the machine with high pressure steam jet
washers or caustic soap: they may damage the paint, ropes
or sensitive electrical components.
Do not clean the operator station with high pressure water
or jets of water. Sensitive electrical components may get
damaged.
When cleaning the machine with pressurized jets, use hot high
pressure water and anti-grease neutral soap (Fig. 52).
