WARNING
When the machine is at work, the operator MUST be sitting
in the control station which is the only correct position
for machine operation.
Climb to the control station using the supplied steps (1 in
Fig. 38). Before leaving the control station, the operator
MUST stop the machine and turn the engine off.
After performing the required checks, drive the machine as
instructed below.
1) First, sit at the control station. Then, move the lever as
described below to adjust the seat (Fig.39) with moving the
armrests.
A) Adjustment button: press it to lift the seat; pull it to lower
the seat.
B) Lever for in-out seat movement.
C) Lever for backrest tilt adjustment.
D) Knob for armrest tilt adjustment.
2) Fasten your seat belt.
3) Check that the battery is engaged. The battery key is located
under the engine hood and is accessed from a door on the
left-hand side near the hydraulic oil radiator. Turn the key to
the right to position “B” (Fig. 40).
4) If the machine was blocked, the light in the red parking brake
button (19 in Fig.41/A/B) must be off.
Before starting the machine up, press this button to release all
the machine functions. The light in the button goes on.
5) Put the ignition key in (6 in Fig. 41/A/B), rotate it clockwise
by one turn and wait until the two red and yellow lights (8 in Fig.
41/A/B) are off. Then turn the key until the engine is ignited.
Release the key after ignition.
WARNING
Do not engage the starter consequently for more that 20
to 30 seconds. If the engine does not get started, wait for
some seconds and let the starter cool down.
Do not attempt to start the engine several times, because
this may cause the battery to go fl at. It is better to look for
the reason(s) why the engine will not start.
Most frequently the engine will not start up for the following
reasons:
- presence of air in the fuel circuit;
- low battery;
- defective engine operation;
- malfunctioning electric system.
