2.1 GENERAL SAFETY RULES
WARNING
THIS INSTRUCTION MANUAL MUST BE READ VERY CAREFULLY, PARTICULARLY THE SAFETY
RULES, PAYING GREAT ATTENTION TO SECTIONS DEALING WITH HIGH RISK OPERATIONS.
The instruction manual must be read, memorized and stored for the entire life of the machine until
the machine is dismantled. If the manual is damaged or gets lost, immediately ask the Manufac-
turer for a copy.
• The Manufacturer declines any and all responsibility for damage due to non-compliance with the safety
and accident-prevention rules described in this instruction manual.
• They also decline all responsibility for damage due to improper use or unauthorized modi
fi
cations. Nee-
dless to say, taking the risk of improper machine operation means taking the relating responsibilities.
• It is, instead, essential to comply with the operation and maintenance instructions envisaged by the
Manufacturer and described in this manual.
• This machine must be operated, serviced or repaired exclusively by people who have been informed
about the machine functions and the related safety rules. They also have to be authorized to work with
the machine.
• Safety must be the ultimate goal of the operator. So, he never has to operate the machine if it is not safe
or is in poor working conditions. Carry out a preliminary inspection of the machine before operating it
• The machine is supplied with a safety belt and Rops-Fops protection. According to ROPS-FOPS re-
quirements, the operator must sit within the borders of the anti-tipping protection and must wear the
supplied seat belt around his waist.
• Do not leave the machine unattended with the engine running. Park the machine in a leveled area,
engage the parking brake, lock the controls and switch the engine off before leaving the operator cabin.
Eventually take out the ignition key.
• Before operating the machine check that no person is standing within the machine outreach. Do not
authorize any operator to stand near the machine while it is working. Consider that the wider the ma-
chine the less visibility the operator has.
• Do not use the machine to perform operations that are not envisaged in the machine scope.
• Before operating or servicing the machine, comply with all the safety standards, precautions and in-
structions.
• The machine user (owner) and/or the operator are responsible for replacing the warning and safety
decals whenever they are damaged or come off the machine.
• Before doing any operation, thoroughly study the situation and respond with a view to preventing the
risk of accidents.
• The machine operator must be competent, in good psychological and physical conditions, and must
not take drugs or alcohol which may affect his sight, hearing and response capabilities.
• When working with other operators or on-site traf

c people, make sure that the involved personnel
understand the meaning of gestures used to warn about potential risks and operations.
• Whenever the operator must leave the work place for long periods of time, lock the controls in place
and secure the machine properly to prevent the risk that it is tampered with by unauthorized people.
• Do not drive the machine close to persons that may be working along the way. Make sure that people
along the way move aside while the machine is approaching and that they are aware of the operations
performed by the machine.
• Adhere to the safety rules as instructed in this manual and to any instruction provided by the owner of
the machine.
