SPX-960
:
• Start the machine up as instructed in section «4.4.1 Pipe layer start-up» of this manual.
• Position the machine on the ramps directly.
• Start climbing the ramps at low speed and gear.
• Do not steer the machine while climbing the ramps: it may tip over. If a change in the travel direction
is required, go back to ground level or on the trailer bed and change the direction.
WARNING
The machine center of gravity suddenly changes in the point where the ramps and trailer contact.
This is why the machine is unbalanced and serious damage may occur. Travel very slowly on this
point.
• When the machine is on the trailer bed, engage the parking brake (red button, ref. 19 in Fig. 21/A/B).
• Engage the safety lever (45 in Fig. 21 A/B).
• Turn the ignition key and remove it (6 in Fig. 21/A/B).
• Place blocks under the front and rear track (1 in Fig. 17).
• Secure the machine to the anchoring points shown in Figure 17 using chains.
3.1.2 UNLOADING THE MACHINE FROM THE TRAILER
After the machine has reached its destination and before all the blocking devices are removed, check that
the machine is in good condition and in a position preventing it from being a danger.
• Unload the machine on a stable ground using suitably sized ramps after locking the trailer wheels. Keep
at a safety distance from the edge of the road.
• Load and unload the machine exclusively on
fl
at, stable ground.
• Engage the trailer brakes and place blocks under the tires to prevent trailer movements.
• Place the ramps parallel at the same distance from the center of the trailer both on the right- and left-
hand side. The max. tilt must not exceed 15°. If the ramps bend excessively under the machine weight,
place blocks under the ramps too.
• Remove the anchoring chains, cables and blocks and start the unloading procedure.
• Start the machine up as instructed in section «4.4.1 Pipe layer start-up» of this manual.
• Work out the correct direction to travel on the ramps: move slowly paying great care.
WARNING
The machine center of gravity suddenly changes in the point where the ramps and trailer contact.
This is why the machine is unbalanced and serious damage may occur. Travel very slowly on this
point.
• Travel down the ramps slowly until the machine is completely off the ramps.
Unload the machine and, if needed, release any component that had been either blocked or disassembled
