5 Construction and function

5.1

Product definition

The clutch is an electromagnetic tooth clutch for the connection and disconnection of a power flux in the form of
a torque transmission.

Areas of application:

• Drive systems in machine tools, gear and special machinery

Typical properties:

• Small dimensions - high torque

• Torque transmission force-fitted via spur gearings

• No idle run torque

• Disengagement possible under load and at speed

• Wet operation (oil splashes or oil mist) and dry operation possible

Type of activity:

• The clutch runs on a working current
