2.1
Safety concept of the documentation
In accordance with the risk assessment carried out, the safety concept in this documentation is structured in the
following way:
• The general safety guidelines for the operator and the user are listed in this section.
• Section-related safety guidelines are listed at the start of the respective section.
• Safety guidelines related to handling must be followed before each safety-related work step.

• Only employ qualified or trained personnel.
• Do not authorise people whose ability to react is impaired, for example by the influence of drugs, alcohol,
medication or similar. Observe the specific national age guidelines.
• Observe all other nationally-applicable guidelines of the respective country of use.
2.3
Intended use
The clutch is used to connect and disconnect a torque transmission. It is a product that is not ready for use,
which must be connected to other incomplete machines and/or components in order to fulfil its function.
The area of application is machine tools, gear and special machinery.
The clutch must only be used under the following conditions:
• to be used exclusively in industrial areas,
• to be engaged at a standstill or in synchronous mode.
2.3.1
Power supply
The clutch must only be operated on direct current.
The electrical connection occurs via AMP receptacles on a two-pole connecting terminal, attached to the outside
of the coil body.
The electrical connection is the responsibility of the operator, and must comply with the local safety regulations.
2.3.2
Torque transmission
The torque transmission occurs at the following interfaces:
• screw, pin and fitting key joints in the components involved in the power flux.
