6.9 Service life
Device The average expected service life (MTTF)
according to IEC 60601-1:2005 + A1:2012 / EN 60601-
1:2006 + A1:2013 is:
DUOLITH SD1 – approx. 15,000 operating hours
F-SW handpiece – approx. 5 million shocks
Prerequisite:
The coil is a wear part. After 2 million shocks the coil needs
to be exchanged.
R-SW handpiece – approx. 5 million shocks for the handpiece
– approx. 1 million shocks for the shock transmitters.
Prerequisite:
Every 1 million shocks the R-SW handpiece should be
overhauled (see Chapter
6.4 r-sW
handpieCe Overhaul
).
V-ACTOR – approx. 5 million pulses
suction cup – 100 cleaning and disinfecting cycles
Exceeding the service life can be expected to result in a failure of the devices and the
accessories. This also applies for the handpieces.
