Operation
Battery
– Disconnect the battery male connector; see
chapter "Charging the battery".
– Batteries with open terminals or connectors
must be covered with a rubber mat to
prevent short circuits.
Disconnecting the battery
– Attach a suitable hoist to the battery.
– Adjust the length of the hoist so that it is
vertically above the battery's centre of
gravity.
– Lift the battery clear of the truck.
– Set the battery down carefully.
The ground must be capable of bearing the
weight of the battery.
– Do not place the lifting gear on the battery
cells or allow it to fall on them.
– Transport the battery to the intended
storage space.
– Set down the battery.
