Install a length of Velcro within the etched
“Dummy Motor” area on F23.

Trim line for
right
cowl is molded into part.
Left cowl half is stepped to fit inside right
cowl. It will be necessary to create a trim line
for
left
cowl well below molded step by sliding
a fine tip sharpie marker or #2 pencil flat
along your worktable and along
left
cowl part.

Remove right and left cowl forms from molded
part using lexan scissors. (Darkened areas
approximate look of parts to be retained.)
☐
Tape cowl halves together, test fit to fuselage,
then bond with a light application of plastic
model cement along
left
cowl step. Now,
open front and top of cowl where indicated.
Fill vertical seam using white modeling putty
and paint to match trim scheme of model.
☐
Fit cowl to fuselage with prop shaft centered
to exit in cowl. Leaving 1/8 in. to 5/32 in.
overlap with fuselage. Retain with tape then
drill .032 in. pilot holes for mounting screws.
☐
Secure cowl to fuselage using four #0 x 3/16
in. screws.
